In August 2025, Melissa and her partner celebrated a fusion wedding at VisArts in Rockville, Maryland, and invited IndAroma to bring the food to life. What followed was a night of Indian flavor reimagined for a modern gallery setting: a masala mojito in hand, dal chawal transformed into a crisp arancini, and a dessert that turned gulab jamun into cheesecake.

The chicken tikka, naan, and mint chutney anchored dinner in unmistakably Indian flavor, while the masala mojito and mango lassi kept the mood bright and celebratory. And the gulab jamun cheesecake — the couple's chosen wedding dessert — folded a beloved Indian sweet into a Western classic, exactly the note a fusion wedding wants to end on.
